Dave and Sue Ann live on a working farm, orchard and boarding stable sharing in the hard work, sweat and tears with Dave’s family. We enjoy showing as well as trail riding. Currently, we have five equine critters that call us their owners/partners. Our horses bring us much joy, satisfaction and love - which if you are a fellow a horse lover, you know that this cannot be replaced by anything else.
Dave grew up in Napoleon; Ohio on his family’s working farm and orchard. While growing up, he mostly competed in speed events at horse shows; and believe it or not, Dave has competed in English and Western classes as well. Dave is a hard working, big-hearted, goofy guy who makes friends easily. But, his best friends who you will most certainly find right beside Dave no matter where he is on the farm are Hank and Jessie. Hank is a 8-year old Australian Shepherd and Jessie is a 6-year old mini-Australian Shepherd.
Sue Ann grew up in Maumee, Ohio and was the first person in her family to be bit by the horse bug. Although Sue Ann’s parents were very supportive of her love of horses and passion to learn, they still to this day do not know how to put a halter on a horse. So, Sue Ann worked hard and learned everything she could with the help of 4-H advisors, friends and even a neighborhood horse lover. Sue Ann is a very determined and dedicated person, so she counts her blessings and sees the rewards in all her hard work. She has trained and competed in many disciplines at various local shows, breed association shows and circuit shows. Her enthusiasm and passion for learning are infectious.
We are still involved in our local 4-H groups in Northwest Ohio, Southwest Michigan, and Northeast Indiana with Dave’s daughter, Caitlin, and Sue Ann’s nieces, Courtney & Shayla. Yes, it seems as though the Horse Bug is spreading in this family… Come visit with us and take time to chat, laugh and share your love of horses, friends and family.
